It is a great honor for any AACA member to have their car
awarded a Junior, Senior or Preservation status at a
National show. It is even a greater honor to have their car
awarded the prestigious Grand National winner. This is no
small accomplishment and requires a great deal of energy,
effort and resources.
To be a Grand National winner, your car is considered to
be "the best of the best" and without flaw. There are very
limited winners of this award annually.
Even if you think you have a national winner caliber car,
you've got to get it to the national show - and that's not a
simple (or inexpensive) task. This usually requires a very
costly transport of the car somewhere across the country,
accompanied by significant travel & lodging costs. Once
you get there, the competition is tough and the judging is
difficult. Just ask our own Al Roscoe, who has judged at
over 100 national shows over the years.
It is with great pride that our region pays tribute
to several of our members who have had their 'precious metal
& fiberglass' awarded with these honors during the past
year. Our hats go off to these members who have achieved
the highest recognition that our hobby can bestow.
Congratulations gentlemen. |
