The Sandhills Chapter of Antique Automobile Club of America
voted at its annual meeting held at the Inn at Eagle Springs on December 11 to
donate $500 to the Cameron Boys Camp. The donation was given in memory of
Commander J. T Cotner who was instrumental in starting classic auto shows and
generating an interest in old cars in the Pinehurst area. The Sandhills Chapter
AACA was then formed in 1998 and has been responsible for five annual shows held
each fall at the Pinehurst Harness Track in conjunction with the Pinehurst Parks
and Recreation.
