Jacksonville is home to the U.S. Marine Corp's Second Marine Expeditionary Force with all it's Marine components including Ground, Air and Support organizations. Estimated forces at 75,000 troops in the area including Camp Lejuene, est 1941 and New River Marine Aircraft Station(MCAS) with it's heliocopters, Cobra Attack, CH-46, Ch-53, and the all new V-22 Osprey. Near-by is the master jet base at Cherry Point MCAS with the FA-18 Super Hornets, VSTOL Harrier jets, C-130 and EA-6s.
