First Capital Chapter

We are a small chapter, currently with 21 families represented. In spite of our small size and short history, we have hosted three National AACA car shows - the first in 1994, second in 1999 and a third in 2007. One AACA Grand National Meet in 2002. With a second Grand National Meet scheduled for 2010

Wow!!!! What a wonderful spring this has been so far. We joined the Morehead City Club on our March Tour to Taylor Farms in Harlow, North Carolina. A cool start for the day, but we had approximately 20 cars and 40 folks enjoying Harry’s BBQ pig and Zach’s deep-fried turkey. Everyone gorged themselves and then viewed Harry’s Antique cars and tractors. Thank you again to Harry Taylor and his crew!!

First Capital AACA also entered 9 cars in the New Bern, St. Patrick’s Day parade on March 18th. We also displayed 7 cars at the New Bern Convention Center on March 4th Jazz Festival sponsored by the Library Associations of Craven, Carteret and Pamlico Counties.

Our National Spring Meet is fast approaching so we encourage all of you to bring those beautiful cars to downtown New Bern for the May 12th show. See you in New Bern and Happy Motoring.
