As you read through this newsletter, you will become aware that the recent NC Region Business Meeting was well received by all who attended. Randy Stone and his committee did an outstanding job putting it together. I hope by reporting how everyone felt about it you will be encouraged to attend next year if you were not among the participants. Don’t miss it in 2009!

Mike and I attended even though he did a great imitation of Tim Conway (from Carol Burnett’s show) old man shuffle. He has since had surgery for a ruptured disc and is now without pain and walking normally (almost that is). Next will be getting his rotator cuffs (both shoulders) fixed. Thanks for all the calls of concern, they are appreciated. Triangle chapter is getting geared up for the Spring NC Region meet. New trophies are being created. My Eastern Star chapter will provide a food concession. Don’t forget to preregister -- a form is in this issue.
