2007
CUB SCOUT DAY
Harford Region members participated in the 2007 Harford District Cub Scout Day
on April 22, 2007. The event was
held at the Maryland Boulevard Park on the Aberdeen Proving Ground. The day
was a fun day for cub scouts from all over Harford County to participate in
various activities. A number of organizations had displays and/or activities
for the scouts. Some of these organizations included the Experimental
Airplane Organization, Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) Ordnance School, APG Fire
Department, Model Railroaders, Steppingstone Museum, Harford County Sheriff's
Department, Mason Dixon Rescue Dogs, and many more including Harford Region
AACA.
In addition to displaying their antique
cars, Harford Region held a youth activity for any interested youngster. Members of Harford Region
presented a tire pressure gauge to each youth that participated in the activity.
The youth was then instructed on the importance of maintaining proper air
pressure in automobile tires and how to properly check the air pressure using
one of
the antique vehicles on display. After the successful completion of the
activity, the youth got to keep the tire gauge as a souvenir. Included
with the tire gauge was contact information for Harford Region and information
on the region's annual show in October.
Harford Region had a fun and enjoyable day at Cub Scout Day and thanks the
Harford Region Cub Scout organization for inviting the club to participate.
